Madonna & Guy Are Not Divorcing, Bitches!

With reports that the Material middle-ager and Guy Ritchie -- her husband of over seven years -- were on the outs, Madge's longtime rep Liz Rosenberg issued a statement saying, "I am delighted to confirm that Mr. and Mrs. Guy Ritchie remain happily married."

Rumors of their divorce began to swirl after Guy failed to show up alongside Madonna at her Malawi benefit last month and her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last week. The nerve! According to Rosenberg, Madonna was in NYC doing promotion for her upcoming album, while Guy was in England finishing a Nike commercial and his new ~~flop~~ film.

Guy may be busy, but when your pop icon wife gets inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame -- you take a vacation day!

46. I bet Guy Ritchie has just been desperate for ages to get out of that marriage to that control freak. Jeeeeeeez......From what I read, she has to sleep in a different bedroom on an entirely different floor and that no one in her home is allowed to make a sound once she goes to bed. She thinks she's sexy, but because it seems she's the biggest bitch (talented yes but....) and Guy's just gotta be sick of her. It would be nice to see it work out....I love happy endings. I think it's just a matter of time and that relationship is OVER

47. I get the impression that Guy Ritchie is pretty secure about himself, and I think (would hope) that he enjoys Madge just the way she is. You have to admit that as a total package, she has been fabulous. They married later in life, so that would preclude any surprises for him about who she was, as everybody knew her (public) persona.
Her private persona could be quite different. Stage performers wear their stage persona like a costume, for entertainment effect and purposes. They've built a nice little family of five (so far) and I'm sure Guy doesn't mind a bit that she comes with her own pursuits and her own money. He has his own busy work agenda, and she is probably quite relieved by that, as she is as good at flying solo as she is as a pair. Perhaps being inducted into the R & R Hall of Fame is not as big a deal to those who have already won so much as it would be to an average Joe. Maybe they just had a squabble. Maybe things are a bit rocky. Maybe not. Maybe they just like to always have one parent available at all times for the kids. Who knows. I do know that I have great empathy and admiration for Madonna, who lost her Mom very young, but managed to focus and drive herself to her present day position. Many big performers become huge because of a passionate and dedicated ambition in part to fill some kind of a vacuum. Hers was a very constructive, albeit driven and positive response to overcoming a great personal sorrow, and I'm very glad for her. If a man accomplishes what she has, he is called assertive, a leader and an entrepreneur or mogul. When a woman achieves big things, she is called aggressive, a b*tch, a b*llbreaker, and her femaleness is somehow called into question; and Madonna is obviously all female, and then some.
I do hope things are OK for them marriage wise. She tries so hard to do well at everything she does, that she deserves someone who simply appreciates her for exactly who and what she is, as is, unconditionally. (give or take a mulligan or two)

50. THEY ARE DIVORCED. 1) NO SHOW UP AT THE MOST IMPORTANT EVENT IN HER LIFE. 2) NO SHOW UP AT HER FIRST IMPORTANT FUND RAISER 3) DID YOU HEAR JUSTIN'S COMMENTARY ON STAGE WHILE INDUCTING HER. "INDUCT HER" - WAY TOO MANY INAPROPRIATE MESSAGES MADE TO A MARRIED WOMAN.

THEY ARE DONE. OF COURSE THEY WILL SAY WE ARE FINE. WHO WOULDN'T.
